Anti Vibration Rubber Mounts

17th February 2026

Rubber mounts, (also known as rubber stud mounts), are engineered components combining rubber that is bonded to metal. They are designed to isolate noise and absorb vibration in machinery. Featuring metal threaded male or female studs, the rubber vibration mounts act as a cushion to protect equipment, prevent structural damage, and reduce noise in applications such as pumps, engines and HVAC systems.

The advantage with combining rubber with metal is that it enables easy mounting and provides a durable solution for effective vibration damping. Rubber mounts are fastened to the machine and are used for compression. When the machine is in operation the rubber stud mounts absorb and dampen vibration, significantly minimising the impact of vibration such as noise.

An excellent choice as an anti-vibration mount, rubber is a cost effective and robust material with a long lifespan that can recover from high levels of deformation (200% or more). Vibration mounts help reduce a machine’s level of maintenance required and extends the machines lifespan.

One disadvantage with rubber stud mounts is that they have very limited resistance to shear movement. Excessive exposure to shear directional force will gradually damage the stud mount. To combat this issue, we have added our GAD rubber shear mounts to our portfolio. They provide the advantages of traditional rubber stud mounts, but can also be mounted in shear (horizontal) configuration.

To select the correct rubber stud mount for your application, you will need to know the weight of the machine you are looking to isolate from vibration. The heavier the machine, the larger the mount you will need, or the greater the number of mounts required. You can use our product datasheets to determine the weight load per part number.
